Ushering in 40 With a Box of Duncan Hines Cake Mix and a Can of Chocolate Frosting! Kids Activities Blog

If you ™ve been reading my blog for a year now, you ™ll recognize something familiar here ¦ I posted similar photos.

The  occasion? My husband's birthday. His favorite food is-without question- the Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix Cupcakes and Duncan Hines Chocolate Frosting out of the can.

Last twelvemonth, I wrote about his sheer delight and the  uncontrollable smile that came across his face when he saw his love cupcakes. The same was true for this year. In the previous post, I wrote about food memories and how and when they are created. For him, these succulent cupcakes made an enduring  mark over 30 years ago and I found that the same is truthful for his parents equally they partook in some of the birthday cupcakes this year. They, too, had the expect of happiness and recalled addicted memories as they bit into the moist yellow block, beingness careful not to smudge the icing. They even took leftover cupcakes home to bask them for a few days after the actual birthday…a bonus for sure! I know that his blood brother had the same smile and exact aforementioned memories of the cupcakes every bit my husband described his birthday treat to him over the phone.

These cupcakes are  definitely  a family favorite and I take the pleasure and enjoyment of sitting dorsum and watching the entire matter unfold-the exact same mode-year after year. You lot come across, I did not grow upwardly on these cupcakes and then my food memories are not rooted in them..in fact, I am okay without having even one of them. While i would remember that would be horrific for my husband-to have his married woman not share in his elation for this beloved food-the verbal reverse is true. Information technology's really quite blissful as this means more for him to savor. And I ™m simply fine with that.
